Since its inception in 1993, SPONDYLOS has sought to distinguish its services and products in Greece and abroad.

It has always been one step ahead of his time in terms of his equipment and the adoption of new technologies and methodology.

What, however, was the greatest distinction, was and is the provision of high quality services.

And of course this is accomplished with its highly trained staff and team.

Dimitris Papadopoulos, MD, CPO

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Scientific Director

He studied at the Medical School of the 1st University of Rome La Sapienza, from which he graduated with degree honors in 1983.

In 1986 he began his specialization at the KAT Athens Accident Hospitall.

After completing his specialization in 1990, he was follow the work at the University clinic of the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in London, trained in spine surgery.

n 1999 he was admitted to the Orthopedics Technical School of the 2nd University of Rome, Tor Vergata. where he taught the mechanics of construction by professors at the Polytechnic of Rome as well as the construction and application of orthopedic aids.

He graduated in 2002 with an honors degree.

In 1994 he founded the BIO Orthopaedics, a company specialized in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Rehabilitation.

To 2006 he organized and developed the SPONDYLOS Laser Spine Lab, specializing in controlling  Spine Diseases and brace construction.

He is the Scientific Director and supervisor of SPONDYLOS Laser Spine Lab.

Manos Kapetanakis, PT, MSc

Certified Schroth and SEAS Therapist

In 2001 he graduated from the Physiotherapy Department of Lamia Technological Educational Institute grade 8.2 / 10 and award from the State Scholarship Foundation SSF.

In 2012 he graduated from the postgraduate program MSc in Applied Biomechanics of the University of Strathclyde Glasgow with Distinction

He is a Certified MDT therapist (McKenzie Therapist) since 2006

In 2009, he became one of the few Greeks who graduated from the Three-dimensional Scoliosis Therapy Program, according to Katharina Schroth of Asklepios Katharina-Schroth-Klinik, Bad Sobernheim Germany, the world’s largest center for the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis, acquiring the world-renowned Certified Schroth Therapist .

His involvement with scoliosis in SPONDYLOS and the hundreds of patients who contributed to their successful treatment led him to Milan in 2011 to become the first Greek physiotherapist to receive his certification in the Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS) by Istituto Scientifico Italiano Colonna Vertebrale (ISICO).

In 2012 he began his training at the Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists’ Scientific Group as a prospective manual therapist. His training continues today as a MT candidate physiotherapist.

Christos Mytikakis, CPO

Orthotist & Prosthetist

Head of Technical Department

In 1998 he began working as a technical assistant in BIO Orthopaedics, a company specialized in Orthotics and Prosthetics.

From 2000 to 2004, he was trained as a Orthotics and Prosthetics technician.

Also at the same time he attended seminars of prosthetic companies like OTTO BOCK, NABCO, ALPS, COLLEGE PARK INDUSTRIES, PROTEOR, OSSUR and others.

In 2004 he trained in Rome at ITOP by the Professor of prosthetics Roberto Pelegrini.

In the same year he was trained in Silicone technique by Franco Ferri at the INAIL University of Bologna

Also in 2005 he trained in Germany in Strammer workshop in Echwege by the head Michael Sawosch.

In 2010 he was trained in the CAD-CAM system of RODIN 4D for the manufacture of digital molds for Spinal Diseases.

He is Head of the Technical Department of SPONDYLOS Laser Spine Lab.
